The MAY Edit: What I’m Creating, Curating & Shaping This Month

Welcome to the first installment of my monthly edit of life, work, and creative energy.

Part recap, part forecast, all intention. This is where I unpack the past month, share what’s currently in motion, and curate this month's inspiration. Welcome to month 5 — 31 days full of opportunity for growth and reflection.

I’m embracing May like a long-distance friend that comes to visit once a year. She brings a quiet energy of growth with her; she wears a perfume of sunshine, lilacs, and dewy grass. May inspires me to reflect on the lessons of spring’s slow seasons, and lean into the momentum of summer.

This month, I’m called to shift the direction of my work. My portfolio will be boldly saturated and carefully curated, aimed at elevating my book with high-end images that showcase my eye for composition and my retouch style. I’ve shared more details on my photography journey and career insights in my latest interview.

Looking Back…

January brought new goals.

February brought consistent routine.

March brought adventure.

April brought rest.

After the hustle of March's adventures to Mexico and Miami, my body was craving a rest. I slowed down in response; closed my calendar to public bookings, and created a new strategy for the rest of Quarter 2. I enjoyed a slow-paced April. I celebrated my 26th birthday and made memories with the ones I love most. I focused on only taking on direct bookings that felt fulfilling and creating portfolio projects with intention.

May is Bringing:

Outdoor portraits.

May brings warm weather, blue skies, and golden hour sunsets. It’s a perfect time for outdoor shoots.

Class of 2025 grad photos.

I’m taking a side step from my fashion-focused work to get back to the portraiture that started it all.

Website Redesign.

Moodboard of the Month

In My Bag

Body: Canon R

Lens: I’ve been loving my Canon 85mm recently — tighter crops with a more diffused background help me draw focus to specific parts of the image’s composition.

Lights: In the studio, I’ve been loving the Godox AD300 Pro with a Godox QR-P90 Softbox.

Out Of Office

I’m stepping into a new era of self-care. I find that when I look my best, I feel my best; these are a few of the habits that I’ve been loving in my life.

My Intention for May:

Let all of my work lead back to love.

So here’s to May — I hope the next 16 days bring you closer to your goals, and give you plenty to reflect on in June.

I’ll see you then.
